The hotel was very close to monnickendam edam. Totally a COMFORTABLE experience. There was a garden.

Our experience at this hotel was great. Rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and the Hotel staff was extremely kind and helpful. This hotel is about 20 kms. From downtown Amsterdam, which is not really an issue. If you're planning on visiting Amsterdam, then you can either get a bus right outside the hotel (9 Euros per person) or you can park your vehicle at one of many p+r locations around Amsterdam for just 8 Euros/day, and that includes free tram tickets to downtown Amsterdam for the entire family. So smart! Instead of charging tourists an arm an a leg to park their vehicles, and make them buy overpriced tickets to go to the city, they chose the best solution to address traffic congestion and smog issues. Are you listening, Barcelona???

Internet is expensive, even though you can get 1-hour per day free of charge

Had booked two rooms.And had travelled by own car from Brugge. Party included a wife,son and girlfriend. Found the location suited both age groups. Spent time exploring Edam,Volendam etc which we loved. Travelled from hotel to visit Amsterdam, from just outside, by bus, hotel,journey took approx 20 minutes to central station. Fantastic.cost 9 euros per person. Buses every 15 minutes. Found accomodation and facilities very good. Asked one evening for menu for bar snacks,given a very limited range. However discovered we could have had a greater choice if we had got hold of the menu's in the corner of bar area. Likely the very likeable barman got confused in our request. Lovely hotel would use hotel group again. Personally spend 1/2 nights per week all over UK in different chains, and this was up with the best of these.Twitchers paradise.

Very goog stay. Everything excelelent. A very good price value reletionship.

Really nice building and friendly staff. Very helpful as regards finding me somewhere to store my bike. Ate there for one evening meal which was very good and very reasonably priced. Room very spacious and comfortable. Good location for getting into Volendam, Edam (nearby) and into Amsterdam (25 mins on bus), but nothing is really walkable and some form of transport is necessary. A bus stop right outside the hotel meant that we could bus it into Amsterdam (although at €9 per person it may have been convenient but certainly wasn't cheap). Great environment for cycling.

The hotel in general was uncomfortably warm. No air conditioning in the room meant that it was quite stuffy at night (and the outdoor temperature wasn't particularly hot) . There was an outside door that could be opened, but given that it led onto a communal balcony we were quite reluctant to leave this open at night. Also there was a surprising amount of noise from what looked like a quiet road outside.

The rooms were clean and the staff spoke a perfect English.

There are too much doors which needed a badge to be opened. We have booked 2 rooms, but they were very far from each other and not on the same floor. In one room, the phone didn't work.

- Good postion, not so far from Amsterdam - only 20 min by bus or Car to Amsterdam central station - free usage of pool - nice, comfort and clean room - good internet connection via KPN (25 EUR per week) - good breakfast, wide choice of food - free parking in front of hotel - good value for money

- No breakfast included in price - only 1 hour per day free WIFI/Internet connection splited in slices of 15minutes - hotel stuff isn't flexibile with your requests sometimes

Comfortable clean rooms, excellent breakfast, kind service,very good location. Can rent a bike or scooter, the hotel is located in the countryside, so you ride the bike in beautiful scenery. Everything was perfect.

We have stayed at this hotel before and have been very satisfied with both accommodation and service. Its countryside location is nice and peaceful with a bus route directly opposite the hotel into Amsterdam in approx 20 minutes. Ate in the restaurant twice this time as excellent value for moneyand a very nice meal! As we drive the complimentary car parking on site is a bonus and what we look for.

It is close to Amsterdam just 10 to 15 mins drive. The restaurant is good with great food.

The room a bit dark, more light will be better

This hotel is set in a beautiful location and encompasses all we sought. Run by an extremely efficient and helpful staff with small dutch villages within easy reach. Amsterdam is a mere 20minute bus ride. Comes highly recommended.
